Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina lies a 150 acre farm, growing sugar cane for old fashioned molasses. Historically known as Medford Farm, Chestnut Ridge is now home to a beautiful white & modern, barn turned venue.
Kayla & Riley’s wedding reflected them so perfectly. With Kayla’s love of color, the decor was tastefully colorful & bright, with subtle hints of bohemian. The energy & excitement could not be more spot on, as everyone was eager to celebrate these two love birds. Surrounded by love, laughter & their favorite people, Kayla & Riley’s wedding couldn’t have been more perfect. With a surprise firework show to end the night, it was magic indeed.

They say love is patient & boy, are these two patient! Riley & Kayla’s love story isn’t as easy or as conventional as most, but it is perfect in it’s own way.
You see, Riley was living in Colorado Springs, CO, playing football at the Air Force Academy when Kayla was 605 miles away, attending the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, OK. The chances of them meeting weren’t high. That is until, Riley’s roommate, Kale, started dating one of Kayla’s best friends, Caitie. After a few visits to Colorado, friends started to plan the match making process.
Fast forward a year later, on a trip for the books – Gal Pals Spring Break 2015. Kayla & her group of girlfriends went on a spontaneous road trip to Colorado Springs. It was on this trip that the two finally met. To say the rest is history would be neglecting all the time & effort put into their relationship.
After many days of text messages & phone calls, getting to know one another, they decided to date long distance. They did this for two years & then another 6 months while Riley was deployed overseas. To test their patience even more came 2020. After rescheduling their wedding twice due to the corona virus, they were finally able to wed in Asheville, NC on September 3, 2020.
